Faculty of Civil Engineering - Architecture and urbanism

Cooperation between Union Nikola Tesla University and TU Berlin continues! On December 14, assistant professors Marta Brkovic Dodig and Miloš Milovanović, doctoral student Aleksa Babić from the OHIM Architecture Program, lecturer and doctoral student Zuzanna Tabackova and doctoral student Lydia Grešakova from TU Berlin organized an online workshop 'Spatial Partisans - Central and Eastern European Practices in the Struggle for right to the city '. The workshop brought together individuals and collectives from Eastern / Central Europe who are actively involved in shaping their cities and 'fighting' for urban spaces.

With inspiring ‘spatial partisans’ from organizations: Spolka (Slovakia), City Guerrilla, School of Urban Practices, Process / ArchiPlay, Who builds the city? Center for Cultural Decontamination, Škograd, Ministry of Spatial Planning, ARQubator (Serbia), Valio (Hungary), Expeditio / KANA (Montenegro), Meleem (Macedonia) and the Association for Urban Transition / De-a-arhitectura (Romania), as well as domestic and foreign researchers, the organizers discussed concepts, tools, methods, approaches in collaborative design and design activism, as well as values transposed through the practice of individuals and collectives in the fight for the right to the city. The workshop was the starting point of a long-term effort to make these practices visible, connect their struggles, establish new research partnerships among workshop participants and devise new research programs that will be transformed into a future research project. From this follows an interesting scientific paper and a research project proposal.
