In the period October-November 2020, Union-Nikola Tesla University participated in the campaign for detecting the content of harmful gases in the atmosphere in the Balkans "METHANE-To-Go-Europe", as a partner in the project holder, the German Institute for Atmospheric Physics DLR. As part of the campaign, flights over thermal power plants as key pollutants were performed with a modern aircraft equipped for scientific research flights (DLR Falcon 20). This cooperation has made a significant contribution to science and future generations, as this is the first time such research has been done in this part of the world.
