Open public call for the IDENTITY Program

The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia has opened a public call for applications for scientific research projects in the field of social sciences and humanities.

The IDENTITY program is intended for the development of scientific research in the field of social sciences and humanities. The goals of the Program are:

Encouraging excellence and relevance of scientific research in Serbia in the field of social sciences and humanities;
Affirmation of the importance of social sciences and humanities for education and society as a whole;
Improving international visibility and cooperation in the subject domain of science.
The basic thematic frameworks of the Program are: Holders of identity: language, script, history, religion, cultural heritage; Ethnic and national identities; Space and identity: regions, territories, borders and migrations; Identity policies, law, security and diplomacy; Social, individual and psychological identities; Gender identities and communities; Identity, literature and art; Identities, economics, education, media and digitalization. In addition to the above, other thematic areas from the social sciences and humanities that deal with identity, which are important for the Republic of Serbia, can be proposed with an explanation.

Accredited NIOs in the Republic of Serbia have the right to participate in this Program, as a rule, within the social sciences and humanities, in the capacity of Project Holder or Project Participant.

The total budget of the Program is 2,000,000 euros. The largest budget for an individual project is 150,000 euros. The duration of the project is 24 months.

The public call for applications for scientific research projects is open from March 14, 2022 and will last until May 20, 2022.
