Economics and finance
Aim of the study program: Education of highly professional staff in the field of finance, qualified for equal practical participation in the domestic and international business scene, as well as mastering broad theoretical knowledge, primarily in finance and economics.
Type of study: Basic four-year academic studies (eight semesters)
Outcome of the learning process: Highly professional knowledge in the field of: finance and related disciplines; developed creative and business skills for making financial and investment decisions; competent financial management of companies; professional pursuit of these jobs in state institutions and corporations, as well as further professional and scientific training.
Academic title: Bachelor of Economics.
Conditions for enrollment in the study program: In the first year of undergraduate studies can enroll persons who have completed high school in all fields, with passed the entrance / differential exam in accordance with the acts of the University and the Law on Higher Education.
List of obligatory and elective study areas, ie subjects: Within the four-year schooling in the study program, 33 subjects are realized, plus professional practice and diploma work. The overview of compulsory and elective courses is given in Tables 5.1. and 5.3, and by type, in Tables 5.4-5.7, and in accordance with applicable accreditation standards. Compulsory subjects are 25 plus professional practice. There are 16 elective courses. All courses are one-semester.
Manner of conducting basic academic studies: Teaching takes place through theoretical lectures, auditory exercises, practical work, preparation of seminar papers, case studies, consultations and teaching visits. In tables 5.2. auditory, laboratory, computer, computational and field exercises, teaching visits and professional practice in institutes, institutions, companies and non-profit institutions are clearly defined. Active use of the Internet is an important element in the preparation and teaching of the study program and the preparation of seminar papers in individual subjects. The program realizes 300 hours of active teaching per semester or 600 per year, or 2400 hours during the entire study.
Score value of each subject and final paper. The number of points per subject ranges from 5-9 ECTS calculated according to the applicable accreditation standards. An integral part of the study program are professional practice, which is 2 ECTS, and the final work is 10 ECTS.
Prerequisites for enrollment of individual subjects: They are defined in the specifications of each individual subject, Tables 5.2.
Conditions for transfer from other study programs within the same or related fields of study are defined by the Statute of the University, the Rulebook on Studies and the Law on Higher Education.
At least 37 ECTS credits can be enrolled in the second year of study, at least 37 ECTS credits, or 97 ECTS credits in the fourth year, and 157 ECTS credits in the fourth year.
Completion of studies: Each year of undergraduate studies has 60 ECTS credits. Studies are considered completed when the student fulfills all the obligations prescribed by the study program and collects 240 ECTS credits. Graduates can continue their master's studies.
